Power
The seven-hex prototype is intended to use the already-owned single-cell 3.7V, approximately 1850mAh LiPo. Its runtime has not been measured. A 5000mAh replacement is not part of the current requirement.
This shows the intended load path; exact battery, protected-output, and module terminal wiring must be checked on the purchased boards. Do not infer simultaneous charging and gameplay support from this diagram. Charge current, battery limits, and any required power-path arrangement need verification.
The PK4056 product listing describes a USB-C single-cell charger with protection features. Confirm the supplied module and battery before wiring. The MT3608 module is the selected boost-converter reference; its usable output in this assembly must be established under load.
Distribution and local smoothing
Each hex is expected to have approximately 10µF across 5V/GND near its power entry. The development board includes support components; local smoothing is not a substitute for checking the module's actual decoupling. Capacitor polarity and voltage rating must suit the circuit.
A common ground is required. Longer boards may need thicker or branched power wiring rather than feeding every load through a long thin daisy chain. Power topology can differ from CHAIN order.
Power budget still to measure
Measure the main controller, one active hex, all seven hexes, and display/update peaks. Measure voltage at the farthest hex under load. The battery's nominal energy is approximately 3.7V × 1.85Ah = 6.85Wh; usable energy and runtime depend on conversion losses, load, and discharge limits. No runtime is promised by the capacity alone.
